Defence Manufacturing & trategic Systems

As part of its strategic expansion into defence manufacturing and allied industrial capabilities, the KamlaNoble Group, through Nobel Defence Industries Limited, has proposed the development of an Integrated Defence Industries Park in Bundi district, Rajasthan.

The project is envisioned as a large-scale industrial ecosystem dedicated to defence manufacturing, advanced energetics, aerospace technologies, and strategic industrial capabilities, supporting India’s growing emphasis on indigenous defence production under the Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives.

PROJECT VISION

The defence park is planned as a multi-sector industrial complex supporting

  • Energetics and explosive materials manufacturing
  • Defence equipment manufacturing
  • Drone and robotics systems
  • Aerospace and aviation support infrastructure
  • Advanced research and development facilities
  • Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services
  • Defence supply chain manufacturing units
  • Renewable energy and energy storage support infrastructure

The park will aim to create a self-sustaining defence industrial ecosystem, integrating manufacturing units, technology partners, research facilities, and supply-chain companies within a single industrial platform.

Strategic Rationale

India is rapidly expanding its domestic defence manufacturing capabilities, supported by national initiatives aimed at reducing import dependency and strengthening local production ecosystems. Simultaneously, state governments are encouraging the creation of defence manufacturing clusters and aerospace ecosystems to attract both domestic and international investment.

Rajasthan’s strategic geographic location, proximity to major military installations, and improving industrial infrastructure make it a suitable location for the development of defence.

INDUSTRIAL INFRASTRUCTURE

The proposed Integrated Defence Industries Park is envisioned to include

  • Dedicated industrial zones for defence manufacturing
  • Specialised infrastructure for energetics and high-safety industrial processes
  • Testing and certification facilities
  • Industrial logistics and storage infrastructure
  • R&D and technology development centers
  • Skill development and technical training facilities
  • Renewable energy infrastructure for sustainable industrial operations

The development model aims to attract domestic defence manufacturers, global technology partners, component suppliers, and defence start-ups to establish operations within the park.

ECONOMIC AND STRATEGIC IMPACT

The proposed defence industrial park is expected to contribute to

  • Strengthening India’s domestic defence manufacturing capability
  • Promoting technology transfer and global collaborations
  • Supporting MSMEs in the defence supply chain
  • Generating employment and industrial development in Rajasthan
  • Building a regional defence manufacturing ecosystem

The initiative aligns with broader national and state policies encouraging the development of aerospace and defence industrial ecosystems to support innovation, manufacturing, and strategic industrial growth.
